This week on the show we get in-depth and discuss the Sounders' big win over FC Dallas. Was it a great performance by the Sounders? A bad night from Dallas? Or something in between? The guys discuss Dallas' defensive mistakes and how Seattle took advantage and look back a month at when we were starting to wonder about Sigi's job security.

We spend a few minutes talking with Seattle Reign head coach Laura Harvey discussing the Reign's slow start and the status of Hope Solo and Megan Rapinoe.

We're also joined br Lamar Neagle (@LamarNeagle) and FC Dallas defender, and Seattle native, George John (@GdoubleJohn) to discuss their Federal Way connections and unsuccessfully attempt to get them to agree to a rap battle.

Absolutely packed show this week, so buckle in and enjoy the ride. We break down what went right, what went wrong and the ongoing frustration over player availability in the Seattle Sounders' 2-2 tie with the Philadelphia Union. That probably could have filled an hour-long show on its own.

But this is a crazy week and we'd hate to leave it there. We also welcomed Alliance Council president Paul Cox (@BlueEyedBuddha) onto the show to discuss the somewhat controversial decision to give all 750 tickets to the Cascadia Cup game in Portland to supporters. Cox gives some insight into the decision and why various attempts to find a compromise failed.

There are a couple games this week, too. To help us get a handle on the one against Sporting Kansas City, we invited Thad Bell (@TheBackpost) onto the show. He explains that the KC fans now view the Sounders as their biggest rival. Apparently, we've got a bit of a reputation.

Coming off a win, it was a bit of a letdown to head into the bye week. Luckily, the good people at NW Peaks Brewery in Ballard were good enough to pour us some pints as we recorded our show this week.

The news of the weeks was a bit slow, but Grant Wahl was kind of enough to share a rumor that we spent a good deal of time discussing. As you probably heard, Herculez Gomez is apparently interested in returning to MLS this summer and the Sounders are one of the teams interested in his services. Both Aaron and Jeremiah are a bit skeptical that this can actually come to fruition, but they discussed how it might happen and what it would mean if it did.

Being as there was no game to talk about, we did a rather long question session. Don't worry, most of them are Sounders or soccer related, but we of course squeeze in a few surreal ones as well. Finally we get to do a show following a victory. The Seattle Sounders didn't look their best against the Colorado Rapids, but they still managed to pull out a 1-0 victory. The highlight of the match was probably Obafemi Martins scoring his first goal, as well as the defense picking up its second straight shutout.

Dave Clark joins Jeremiah and Aaron on the show this week, and he provides his own insight on the game. Among the discussion points are the play of Martins, the growing position battle between Lamar Neagle and Steve Zakuani and the upcoming stretch of matches.

This week's guest is Michael Gspurning (@MGspurning). He talks quite a bit about the Sounders' start, but also sheds some light on his family life and we discuss Austrian actor Christoph Waltz with special attention being paid to his role in Inglorious Basterds.

Nos Audietis, Episode 90: Featuring Ross Fletcher

The sky is not falling, at least not yet. That's the conclusion we've come to after the Seattle Sounders put together a solid, but ultimately disappointing, performance against the New England Revolution. There were a lot of things to like, such as the general passing and the play of the central midfield.

Of course, good passing doesn't necessarily lead to goals and that's something the Sounders are sorely lacking. Through five league matches, they've found the back of the net just two times and that's a legitimate area for concern.

To help us assess the situation, we asked Sounders play-by-play voice Ross Fletcher to share some of his insights. As always, he's a font of knowledge. We also got his take on the effect NBC's coverage of the EPL will have on MLS.

Finally, we took your questions ... lots and lots of your questions. If you stick around until the end, you'll also learn some rather embarrassing stuff about what songs make the boys cry. Cringe-worthy indeed.

Nos Audietis, Episode 89: Time to win

The Sounders' pursuit of a CONCACAF Champions League title will have to wait until 2015, at the earliest. That's a rather bitter pill to swallow, and is not made much easier by the fact that the Sounders came within a goal of advancing to the final.

The silver lining of the elimination comes in the way the Sounders were eliminated. Not only did they play their best game of the season, but they stood toe-to-toe with Santos Laguna in Mexico.

Of course, that result only means as much what comes after it. The Sounders have alluded to the fact that this is a virtual "must-win" game and head coach Sigi Schmid went as far as playfully guaranteeing victory. While the hand seems to be off the panic-button for now, anything less than a victory on Saturday could change things dramatically.

Joining us on the show to discuss the game against the Revolution is Federal Way's Kelyn Rowe.

Although we didn't think we were going to be able to get to questions this week, we powered ahead and took some anyway. So go ahead and ignore Jeremiah saying otherwise at the start of the show.

We had hoped to have something more uplifting to talk about after waiting a few extra days to record. It didn't quite work out that way. While the result wasn't exactly a disaster (losing 1-0 at home at least gives the Sounders a puncher's chance), it was not the feel-good moment we had been hoping for.

Aaron and Jeremiah discuss the ramifications of that result and actually do find some reasons to be at least somewhat optimistic. The new formation moved showed some promise, Shalrie Joseph moved the ball effectively and the defense held up against one of the most explosive attacks in North America.

To help us get to the bottom of the Sounders' worst-ever league start, we enlisted the help of Seattle Times beat writer Josh Mayers (@joshuamayers). He helped explain what, exactly, went on after the Sounders' loss to Real Salt Lake and gave us some insight into what has ailed the Sounders so far.

Let's be honest, this week was a bit of a letdown. Almost literally as soon as he arrived, Obafemi Martins was gone. Eddie Johnson and Mario Martinez were away as well. Those three absences were especially felt in Saturday's loss to the San Jose Earthquakes.

That left the Sounders with an 0-2-1 record, which ties them for the worst start in franchise history. Time to freak out? Not nearly. The reality is that the Sounders were missing some significant talent and, really, it's early anyway.

To take our mind off the result, we had Ryan Rosenblatt (@RyanRosenblatt) on the show to discuss Friday's United States World Cup qualifier. You may have heard that tere was some snow on the ground. Ryan was there and he tells us all about it. We also get his sense of how USMNT supporters are welcoming the idea of a match finally being played in Seattle.

Through some technical difficulties, he shed some light on the acquisition of Obafemi Martins as well as a host of other subjects. We also tried to get to the root of what makes "House Hunters: International" so darn popular, as well as agreeing that the new host of "Property Virgins" doesn't quite do it for us.

Of course, we also spend plenty of time discussing this week's games against Tigres UANL and the Portland Timbers. As frustrating as the tie against the Timbers was, we hardly think it's time for panic. We had hoped to bring you an exciting episode where we got the inside scoop on what was going on behind-the-scenes with the Obafemi Martins transfer. Unfortunately, the deal remained in limbo at recording and we decided it was better to wait on that until it comes to a conclusion.

In the meantime, Aaron and I spoke at length about the positives and negatives to come out of the loss to the Montreal Impact. It was a disappointing result, to say the least, but after one game we think it might be a little early to hit the panic button.

In the second segment, we welcomed Pro Soccer Talk's Richard Farley (@RichardFarley) to the show to give us a little insight into Wednesday's opponent, UANL Tigres. He also gives us more of a national perspective on the Martins transfer.

I'm posting this knowing full well that as soon as I hit publish, Obafemi Martins transfer news will surely break. I'm OK with that. Even if that happens, I think this was a pretty great episode, though.

We cajoled Don Ruiz (@donruiznt) and Josh Mayers (@JoshuaMayers) to help us with our annual Sounders season preview roundtable. We talk a lot about the possible effect of Obafemi Martins' addition would have, as well as addressing the likelihood that Christian Tiffert is on his way out.

We also manage to talk about some knowns, and Don elaborates on his post in which he called this the best Sounders team ever. We make some predictions, we have some fun and we hopefully help educate you on the upcoming season.

You're in for quite a treat today as we managed to actually record everything we intended to. Turns out, it was well worth it. We discuss Fredy Montero's loan being finalized, the opening of Sounders training camp and the many trialists and that's before we bring on our experts.

Top Drawer Soccer's Travis Clark (@travismclark) joins us to give us a bit of a lowdown on the Sounders' newest players. He was pretty impressed with their ability to essentially get two Top 10 talents by moving up to pick Eriq Zavaleta and signing DeAndre Yedlin to a Homegrown Player contract. He also had some good things to say about new left back Dylan Remick.

The real meat of the show, though, is when Alexi Lalas (@alexilalas) joins us to discuss the Cascadia Cup trademark dispute. He gives a bit more of a nuanced look at what the league may be trying to do and actually speaks a fair amount of sense, admitting that the league messed up about how they've gone about this entire thing. We don't necessarily agree with everything he had to say, but at least he speaks some sense.

Nos Audietis, Episode 80: More Sounders rumors

Just going to come right out and say it: This week's episode is not our strongest effort. We had planned to make the Q&A at the end into a Google Hangout, but some "technical difficulties" (we forgot to record it) made that totally wasted effort. Being the professionals you know we are, we let that affect the first segment of the show.

Anyway, we still managed to put together a pretty decent interview with Richard Farley (@RichardFarley) about the NWSL allocation and some quality analysis of the Seattle Reign's roster. If you just fast forward to that segment and stop listening there, we won't be offended.

We did talk about some of the various rumors out there, as well as come to terms with the reality that Fredy Montero is not going to be playing here in 2013. We failed to properly address the DeAndre Yedlin signing, though, and totally forgot to talk about the Cascadia Cup trademark flap. Like I said, not our best show. We promise, we'll do better next week.

Hopefully you didn't think we were kidding when we said we were probably going to take some time off during the offseason. Admittedly, we didn't think we'd take a whole month off, but we did and hopefully you didn't go too crazy waiting for us.

The reason for the delay was that we were waiting for something legitimately newsworthy to happen. Aside from Jeff Parke being traded to the Union and the Sounders' re-signing of Patrick Ianni and Jhon-Kennedy Hurtado, there hasn't been much to talk about.

We spend a good deal of time catching you up on the various transfer rumors. Unfortunately, most of them are of the outgoing variety.

Nos Audietis, Episode 78: Featuring Michael Gspurning

With the season well in the books at this point there isn't much left to do but to pick over the carcass that was the 2012 Seattle Sounders season. It wasn't exactly a massive disappointment, but it definitely fell short of our expectations. The highlights included a trip to a fourth straight U.S. Open Cup final and the lows included another deflating 3-0 loss in the playoffs.

One thing we are reasonably certain of is that change seems to be in the winds. The Sounders seem to be preparing us for the possibility that some of the faces we've gotten used to seeing won't be around next year. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it will definitely put added pressure on this team to succeed.

Michael Gspurning is one player who will almost certainly be back, though. He joins us on the podcast to discuss his first season in MLS and how he's fallen in love with Seattle.

Nos Audietis, Episode 77: Featuring Taylor Twellman

This definitely was not the show we wanted to be doing this week. Rather than talking about the most glorious comeback in MLS history, we're left contemplating what went wrong. To help us sort through that mess, we asked ESPN color commentator Taylor Twellman to join us on the show.

Regardless of your personal feelings about Twellman, we'd hope that people can at least appreciate his honesty. He has a lot of positive things to say about how the Sounders played and where they are going. He also has some opinions that probably won't be as popular regarding one Fredy Montero, who's status is sure to be a hot issue over the offseason.

Along those same lines, Aaron and Jeremiah have an honest-to-goodness disagreement over the amount of criticism Montero deserves based on his never scoring in 10 playoff games. Jeremiah thinks it's valid, while Aaron chalks it up to small-sample size. Neither is exactly calling for the team to cut ties with the Colombian, though.

Since we weren't about to cut out the questions segments, the show goes a bit long this week. Hopefully you think it's worth it. A special thanks goes out to our producer Zach Woosley, who put together a pretty awesome intro.

Nos Audietis, Episode 76: Featuring Sounders GM Adrian Hanauer

It was a week of extreme emotions. It started off in spectacular fashion when the Seattle Sounders broke their playoff curse by beating Real Salt Lake 1-0 in the second leg of the Western Conference semifinals.

Before that really had much time to sink in, the Sounders were playing the LA Galaxy in the first leg of the Western Conference finals on about two days of rest. That obviously went horribly, as they lost 3-0 and will now need a miracle in the return leg to make their first-ever MLS Cup.

To help us make sense of it all, we asked Sounders GM and part owner Adrian Hanauer to help walk us through some of the emotions the team is feeling and what this could mean for the club moving forward. He also tells us that about 40,000 tickets have already been distributed and that the team is already opening up extra sections to accomodate increased demand. As it is, that number would already represent a record for a non-MLS Cup final playoff game. We end that segment by letting him answer some reader questions.
